Materials and finishes
Our objects are machined in solid brass of very good quality. The raw brass is slightly softened and polished mechanically. Voluntarily left natural, we manually apply wax protection to the object before delivery.
What will happen over time:
It is a LIVING MATERIAL.
With this finish, our objects will take on a patina over time and with use. The brass darkens and browns nicely to develop its own character. You can find its original color at any time with the products we recommend. Outside, the brass will patinate more quickly and will require more regular maintenance if desired.

Pose
We recommend positioning the assembly "blank" to check the ideal position on your door. Once the hole for the button is made, install the plate then mark the holes necessary for its fixing. Dismantle the assembly then drill the pre-holes for the screws with the appropriate drill bit. Screws are provided to enable the pre-holes to be tapped and to facilitate final screwing.
Install the plate, with the finishing screws. In order to avoid damaging the head of the screws of the decorative plates, screw gently with a suitable screwdriver.
Installation by a diligent professional is recommended.
Care guide
If you prefer the object to develop its own character, simply clean with a soft, lint-free cloth and warm soapy water, dry the object well.
If you wish to restore the initial finish, after disassembling the object from the door, use a good quality brass cream, rinse with lukewarm water, wipe well then apply a brass protection wax.
