Materials and finishes
Our buttons are machined from high-quality solid brass. The raw brass is slightly softened and mechanically polished.
> What will happen over time :
Natural finish brass is a LIVING MATERIAL.
With this finish, our objects will take on a patina over time and with use. Brass darkens and browns beautifully to develop its own character. You can restore it to its original colour at any time with the products we recommend. Outdoors, brass will weather more quickly and may require more regular maintenance.
Our powder-coated plates are made of stainless steel.
> What will happen over time?
The paint covers the metal surface and protects it. Do not drop the object on the floor. Do not strike it with another metal object. Do not use aggressive products that could attack the paint.

Pose
We recommend that you position the assembly ‘blank’ to check the ideal position on your door.
Once the holes for the knob have been drilled, install the plate and mark the holes required for fixing it.
Dismantle the assembly then drill the pre-holes for the screws, using the appropriate drill bit. Screws are supplied to allow the pre-drilled holes to be tapped and facilitate final screwing.
Install the plate, using the finishing screws. To avoid damaging the screw heads on the decorative panels, screw gently with a suitable screwdriver.
Installation by a qualified professional is recommended.
Care guide
The knob:
If you prefer the knob to develop its own character, simply clean with a soft lint-free cloth and warm soapy water, dry the object well.
If you want to restore the original finish, after removing the item from the door, use a good quality brass cream, rinse with warm water, dry well and then apply a protective brass wax.

The plate :
Use a damp sponge, soaped if necessary,
Rinse, then wipe thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Do not use aggressive products that could attack the paint, such as acetone, trichloroethylene, etc.
